Member benefits

The Teacher Education Division (TED), a division of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), offers resources and professional development opportunities to teacher educators and others interested in supporting individuals with diverse abilities and disabilities, and their families. TED sponsors an annual conference, as well as sessions focusing on teacher education and professional development at the CEC Annual International Convention & Expo.

Members of TED enjoy the opportunity to become better informed about local, state, and national policies that affect their work in continuing professional development. The TED website provides announcements, legislative updates, and conference information.

With your membership you'll receive quality journals (Teacher Education and Special Education - TESE) and TEDLines, a newsletter with the latest news and information in the field. Through TED, members have the opportunity to sharpen their skills to compete for federal grant funds, improve their programs to receive national accreditation, and network with others who share their common interests and concerns.
